I am a manager in the environmental industry, a dad, a husband, and an avid cyclist and obstacle course runner. Over the last two years I have used cycling and running to change my fitness level and lose 85 (and counting) pounds. I have gone from some one who could barely bend over and tie my shoes without losing my breath to someone who runs 5Ks and rides metric centuries for fun. I love to laugh at myself and the ridiculous situations I manage to find myself in following my goals. I can be sarcastic and cranky, but more towards myself than others. Mostly I want to celebrate the successes of people finding fitness and happiness through challenging themselves, no matter where they are starting from or where they are going. All of this shapes my voice on the blog and my goal of using the blog as a positive voice for all of us just trying our best in life.
